February budget

Once again I was able to stay in my budget of $300 for February. I came in at 292.57. The shelf cost for my purchases totaled $602.19 I spent 51.42% less than I would have paying full price. I'm still really happy with the fact that for a family of 5 I only spent $292 on groceries and all of the toiletries, cleaners, and make up as well. Target deals

I needed some new foundation. I like Covergirl's Aqua Smooth. I had a b1g1 free covergirl product coupon and a $2.50/2 coupon. These were $7.99 regular price and I paid $5.49 for 2 or 2.75 each, Reeses pieces on sale for 2.49 used two $1/1 mfg coupons and $1/2 target coupon and got both of these for 1.98 or .99 ea

Sobe life water I know I could have scored for free not too long ago but I couldn't find my coupon. Anyways they were regualr price 1.27 used $1/2 and two .50/1. I got 2/.54

1st trip to Safeway today

A suprise deal I found today was the Lunchable Sub without water was on clearance for .99 I used a .75/1 coupon printable from coupons.com to score these for .24. Meghan and I had them for lunch today.

I got my prego for .50 the catalina ended on the 24th so I didn't get them for less than that. I am super excited though.

I bought the hefty garbage bags for about $2 with the safeway ad coupon and a $1/1 mfg coupon.

I bought my 5 gallons of milk and 5 boxes of honey bunches of oats got the cereal for free with the blinkie found by the milk and a $4 catalina off next purchase (I thought it was supposed to be a $5 catalina or else I would have only bought 4) I used my catalina towards the prego. Also the milk was 2.50 wyb 2 which is better than the milk price has been lately. Even if you don't get the catalina this is still a great deal getting the cereal for free. Your gonna buy milk anyways right?

I also bought the cuties with the $1 off coupon for 2.97

swagbucks

I am loving swagbucks lately. I have won a ton lately. I have won free magazine subscriptions, gift cards, house supplies. I am looking forward to our vacations with soccer and my family and using our food gift cards as that's what we spent most our money on when we're out of town. If you haven't signed up get to it.

prego catalina at Safeway

Today I went to Safeway and bought 4 prego spaghetti sauce, $1 off my next shopping trip printed out. I don't know the details on that catalina I don't remember reading about it. I thought Rachel would want to know as it looks like she'll get some for FREE.

Power Bar Energy Gel blasts Free plus ecb at CVS

My hubby Bill uses energy gels and stuff for running. I read about this unadvertised deal from dealseekingmom.com There wasn't even a tag advertising this deal at my store. Anyways I bought 2 of these @ $1.5 and used 2 $1/1 coupons and then paid with a $1 extra care buck so I paid nothing out of pocket and got a $1.50 ecb for my next purchase.

I want to also give a shout out to Joyce at the CVS on Folsom and 51st. She is at the photo counter. She is the best employee that I've worked with in a long time at any store. She knows where everything is. She asked me last time if I found everything I wanted (all the good deals) which I was pleasantly surprised that I actually did find everything I wanted in stock. That is why I knew I could count on her with a problem I had. I accidentally threw away a receipt with $13 worth of Extra Care Bucks on it. I went in to ask if there was a way to get them back. She called the 800 number to ask and their computer systems were down. She called up a supervisor (manager was out) and he couldn't think of anything. She thought that they could do up to $5 with manager approval, but not the full $13. Anyways I left that day to call the 800 number later and when I left she said if I didn't get any help to come back and they would see what they could do there in the store. The customer service number said there wasn't anything they could do to give me the ecb back. So I printed my ecb balance from the cvs website and took that into the store today and went right to Joyce and she said that the manager was there today and she called him up and he was able to print out my $13 worth of ecb!!! I made sure to compliment Joyce in front of her manager. She was such a great help!! It is hard to find people who are willing to help.

Wal Mart Clearance

I got mine last week but it is still on sale this week for $.99. No Sunday paper required just print a $2.00 off 2 from coupons.co and get your for free. Valentines Day

We started the day with heart pancakes and a heart shaped omelet. We made peanut butter cookies with a heart shaped candy instead of Hershey kiss, sugar cookies and brownie cookies.

Super bowl treats

Better late than never. These are the treats we made for our super bowl party.I am going to master sugar cookies this year that is my goal. Here is mt first batch of football cookies. I also made the frosting. Once I find the recipe I like the most I'll post it or if you have a good one let me know I'd love to try it.
We did peanut butter balls shaped as footballs the put the lines on them.
